Club Pacifica: A Comfortable Home

"I'm home" is what you will say when you drive up the entrance to Club Pacifica. From the mature landscaping to warm sunsets over the mountains across the glistening water, these enhance this homey setting. Club Pacifica offers various activities for the busy lifestyle. Challenge yourself to a vigorous game of racquetball, enjoy working out in the 24hr fitness room, relax in one of three spas and saunas or just sit in front of a fire by your wood-burning fireplace, there is something for everyone. There is just a 45 minute drive to the Napa Valley, or enjoy a short walk to the Benicia State park and shopping. Benicia is a small town with easy access to major freeways to San Francisco or East Bay.

Earth Day Volunteer Event at Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanical Garden

The Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden, established in 2004, is a volunteer effort dedicated to showcasing the Solano County diversity of California’s native plants. Every Saturday morning, volunteers come and tend the Botanic Garden, but each Earth Day we have major projects needing your participation to help enable the long term success of the Botanic Garden. Activities will be available for all gardening/physical abilities and for all family members.
This year your participation is needed even more than ever.
On July 1, 2012, CA State Parks is planning on closing the Benicia State Recreation Area. However, the City of Benicia, with our local community support, is submitting a proposal to keep the parks open. Volunteers are a core asset for the success of the proposal, and this year’s Earth Day volunteer project will be a sign of our community support.
Please come help tend the Botanic Garden and show your support. No pre‐registration is necessary; please arrive by 9:00am. State Parks is waiving the parking fee for volunteers.
Please bring a hat, sun screen, comfortable shoes and cloths, and any favorite pair of gardening gloves. Water, refreshments and all other tools will be provided. Parking becomes limited; please consider walking in (about 20 minutes from main entrance lot) or riding your bike.
